OH MY GOD. You want to talk about an amazingly painful & relatable song- I'm always loosing something. This song is SO CATCHY- the rhythm is phenomenal, and just the overall theme (constantly loosing stuff). I'm in love- and not the mention the energy??? Lawd. This is a heavy rec.

Japanese band SiM have released their first track of 2026, “FiVE TiMES DEAD (by my wallet),” now available via UNFD. The single continues the band’s blend of metal, punk, and reggae and arrives alongside an official music video. The release also signals the start of a new cycle for the band, with more updates expected in the coming months.

The band described the track as their “heaviest, most chaotic reggae punk” release to date. It will be included in live performances at their upcoming DEAD POP FESTiVAL, taking place April 4–5 in Japan. The annual event is already sold out and is expected to draw around 15,000 attendees per day. This year’s lineup includes BABYMETAL, coldrain, MAXIMUM THE HORMON, Crystal Lake, Ankor, and THORNHILL.

SiM, short for Silence iz Mine, is a four-piece band from Shonan, Kanagawa, Japan, formed in 2004. Known for combining nü-metal, alternative metal, and reggae-influenced punk, the band has released six full-length albums along with several smaller projects. They gained wider international attention with their 2022 track “The Rumbling,” created for Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart and has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.

The band has also performed at major festivals including Download Festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, and Louder Than Life, and has headlined large venues in Japan such as Nippon Budokan and Yokohama Arena. Their latest album, PLAYDEAD, released via UNFD, includes tracks like “The Rumbling,” “UNDER THE TREE,” “DO THE DANCE,” and “RED.”
