Matt Cameron Splits With Pearl Jam After 27 Years

Matt Cameron has officially parted ways with Pearl Jam after 27 years behind the kit. The band and Cameron both issued emotional statements, with Pearl Jam calling him “a singular and true powerhouse” and “forever our friend in art and music.”

Cameron, who joined the band in 1998 after Soundgarden's initial breakup, played on every Pearl Jam release since Binaural and helped shape their sound for over two decades.
