GORE. (the band) has come out with a new single called SEPSIS. And, as such, we're talking about it. I'm always up for some more female fronted metal in my playlists, and this is a perfect addition to your own! 

Who Is Gore.?

Gore. is a rising heavy band from Texas bringing a raw and deeply personal perspective to the metal scene. Formed in 2023, the trio, featuring vocalist Haley Roughton, guitarist Alex Reyes, and bassist Devin Birchfield. The band blends metalcore, nu-metal, shoegaze, and even a touch of pop into their emotionally intense sound.

Lead singer Haley Roughton took an unusual path to music. Trained as an electrical engineer, she later turned her focus back to her passion but this time, fully on her terms. She calls their style “emotional gore,” diving deep into themes like womanhood, pain, and vulnerability.

Their debut EP, A Bud That Never Blooms, tackles tough topics with honesty and power. Tracks like “Babylon” mourn lost dreams, while “Doomsday” calls out societal violence and numbness. Their emotional lyrics and heavy riffs quickly caught attention online- even earning nods from bands like Motionless in White and Papa Roach.
