Carrion- A Norwegian Based Industrial Rock Band

I will be doing an interview with the Norwegian Industrial Metal band Carrion, so I thought I should put out some general information and feature them on Heavy Vibe so my lovely readers could get to know them before their interview.

Carrion was founded in 2014 by frontman and sole permanent member Adrian Kjøsnes.

In October 2014 the first batch of songs arrived under the title "Religious Device" displaying industrial on the more electronic side of the genre`s spectrum.

Followed up by "Shadowsphere" where things took a darker, more ambient sound as well as initiating what is seemingly a pattern with every Carrion release, that being to change its sound with each release.

2016 saw the release of "The Rite" where once again the musical soundscape took on a new form, this time as a heavier industrial rock yet still holding on to its mechanical roots.

A variety of EP`s, remixes and stand-alone singles/collaborations were also sprinkled throughout in between full-length releases.

Due to personal issues, Carrion was forced to stop, three years of let`s just say Murphy`s Law in full effect caused all creative pursuits to come to a grinding halt.

May 2019 Carrion returned with the six-track EP "Revelation" as well as the announcement of a new album in production.

August 5th the first single "Flowers Of Eden" was released together with a music video as well as featuring a B-Side in the form of a remix by Nero Bellum of Psyclon Nine.

August 22nd saw the release of "Messor", the second single, as well as unveiling the title of the new album being "ICONOCLASM"

Carrion is a project with roots in spirituality, frontman/founder Adrian Kjøsnes having been deeply involved and interested in that side of life for as long as he`s been able to form his thoughts.

The creative process itself is a semi-spiritual experience where lyrics are said to be received rather than purposely written.
